Privacy
This is the website of Perfect Headshot PDX, a headshot studio in Portland, Oregon. It records two things: a count of page views, and whatever you type into a request form. This page says what is kept, who can read it and how to have a request removed.
The short version
- The site sets no cookies.
- No advertising or third-party trackers load.
- Page views are counted without storing your IP address or your browser's user agent string.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, your visit is not counted at all.
- A request form keeps what you type so that a person can reply to you by email.
- Nothing is charged on this site and no card details are taken.
Page counts
We count page views ourselves, so we can see which pages people read and how they found the site. The counting is first-party. The code is served from this site and the counts stay with the site. Nothing is sent to an advertising or analytics company.
For each page view the site stores:
- The path of the page, such as /pricing/
- The host name of the site you came from, never the full address
- A source tag, if the link you followed carried one (
utm_source) - A device class of phone, tablet or desktop, worked out from the width of your browser window
- A random session id
- The time
One more record is stored when a page has stayed visible for 30 seconds. It holds the page path, the session id and the time.
The session id
The session id is a random string made in your browser. It lets us tell three pages read by one visitor from
three visitors reading one page each. It is kept in the browser tab's session storage, under the names
gsSid and gsSidTs. It expires after 30 minutes without activity and it ends when you
close the tab. It cannot follow you to another site.
What page counts leave out
No IP address and no user agent string are stored with page counts. No cookie is set. Nothing in a page count holds your name or your email address.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends either signal, the counting code stops before it sends anything. Your visit is not counted at all.
The request forms
The site has two forms. Request a session is for one person. Request a team quote is for an office. Each one saves a request for a person to answer, and that person replies by email. We keep what you type so the reply can reach you and make sense.
A session request stores
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give one
- The session you chose, if you chose one
- Your preferred dates, if you give them
- Your message, if you write one
A team quote request stores
- Your name
- Your work email address
- Your company or group name
- Your team size
- Your phone number, if you give one
- Your preferred dates, if you give them
- Your office address or city, if you give it
- Your message, if you write one
Saved along with it
- The time the request was sent, and which of the two forms it came from
- A reference that starts with PH, which the form shows you once the request is saved
- The path of the form page you opened first
- How you reached the site: a source tag from the link, or the host name of the site you came from, and a campaign tag if the link had one
- A random id made in your browser and a one-way hash of the request's contents, so that a retry cannot save the same request twice
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the source and the campaign tag are left blank.
Otherwise the form keeps the first form page and the source in the tab's session storage for 30 minutes, under
the name phInquiryLandingV1.
Limiting abuse
A public form attracts junk. To limit it, each send is counted against a keyed one-way hash made from the sender's IP address and the date. The IP address itself is not stored. The hash expires after 24 hours and is deleted the next time a form is sent after that.
Payment
Nothing is charged on this site and no card details are taken. The forms ask for none.
Who can read it, and where it is kept
Requests are read by the people who run Perfect Headshot PDX and by the people who maintain this website for the studio. They use a request to reply to you and to arrange your session or your team day. The same people read the page counts.
The site, the page counts and the saved requests are hosted on Cloudflare. As with any website, the host's network sees the IP address your browser connects from, because it needs it to send the page back. The site does not write that address into its page counts or its saved requests.
No retention period has been set for requests yet. A request stays on file until it is deleted. You can ask for that at any time, as described below.
The photos on this site
The people in the photos on this site are clients of the Austin studio, The Perfect Headshot in Austin, Texas. They were photographed there, and their portraits are shown here with the Austin studio's permission. The site does not name them.
The Portland studio is new. Portland portraits will join the Austin ones as we photograph people here.
Ask for a request to be deleted
For now the request form is the way to reach us. To have a saved request removed:
- Open the request form.
- Enter the same email address you used before, so we can find your request.
- In the message box, write that you want your request deleted. Add the reference you were shown when it was saved, if you kept it.
- A person reads it, deletes the earlier request and replies by email. Say so if you want the new message deleted as well.
The same form works if you want to know what we hold from you, or to correct it.
Page counts hold no name, no email address and no IP address, so there is no record of yours in them to look up or delete.
If this page changes
This page describes the site as it is built today. If what the site records changes, this page changes with it. Last updated October 1, 2026.
